helping families deal with the legal system

About

Christine Churcher

I received my Law degree from Queen’s University 2001 and I was called to the Ontario Bar in October of 2002. I was a lawyer for the Children’s Aid Society in Ontario between 2003 and 2006. Upon returning to my hometown of Victoria, I worked as a lawyer for the Ministry of Child and then expanded my practice to include family law, personal injury and some tribunal work.

My years of experience working for the Ministry of Child and Family Services and the Children’s Aid Society in Ontario have helped me create a thorough understanding of child protection practice and policies. More specifically, my work in Victoria has helped to familiarize me with the variety of community supports that can be used by families who are Ministry involved. It is because of that experience that I would like to help ensure that all parents and families have their rights explained, understood and protected while they are involved with the legal system.
